Stanley Jordan Trio @ Mezzo

A mezzós jazzkedvelők figyelmébe ajánlanám a Stanley Jordan Trio 2007-es párizsi (New Morning-os), vasárnapról hétfőre virradóan 02:00-kor ismételt koncertjét.
Stanley Jordan már a 22-23 évvel ezelőtti albumain is gyanús volt nekem, amelyeken úgy adott elő sztenderdeket egy szál gitáron, mint hogyha ketten-hárman játszanák, de úgy tűnik, hogy azóta tovább gyakorolt. A performansz megmaradt (ld pl a koncert elején a Yesterdayt), a repertoár pedig kibővült kiváló saját szerzeményekkel, ill. azzal, hogy néha leül a zongorához, aztán jobb kézzel billentyűzik, míg mellé ballal gitározik, majd a szám közben kezet vált mindkét hangszeren. A bőgős és dobos társaira (Charnett Moffett & David Haynes) sem mondanám azt, hogy ügyetlenek, és nagyon fülbarát dolgokat játszanak.
