A nyolcvanas évek New Yorkjából indult slam poetry, ez a modern, közvetlen, élő „író-olvasó találkozó” szép hagyományokra tekint vissza Magyarországon is. E rímes-ritmikus-szójátékos-szellemes, improvizált verspárbaj egyik legfontosabb hazai sorozata, a Műcsarnok által létrehozott Budapest Slam mostani állomása a Budapest Slam 3: Roots / Gyökerek az A38 Hajón. A verseny résztvevői a honi underground rap- és slam legjobbjai lesznek, az est fényét pedig a slam poetry két nagysága, a fáradhatatlan szervező, Bob Holman és a bájos tanító, Sam Thornhill slam-bemutatója emeli.
A verseny levezetéseként a vasárnapi Kelta Karóban hallhattátok őket.
